ABOUT THE SEMINAR

This seminar series will be presented by Deborah Churchill, President and Founder of Churchill Consulting.  The philosophy behind Churchill's unique clinically focused coding seminars is: 'based on the patterns of care guidelines, certain procedures are normally performed, documentation is required and must be available in the medical record, and specific coding levels and quantities result based on the procedures performed.'

The goal of this 1.5 day seminar is to ensure that attendees can accurately code an entire course of radiation therapy while understanding what supporting documentation is required.  All presentations are clinically focused, providing directed education to the clinicians who perform the various procedures.  All presentations are interactive and will provide you with an opportunity to ask YOUR questions.

The day one session will begin with a discussion of code changes for 2012 followed by 'Build A Case – Document A Case', a course designed to outline the documentation requirements for all codes in a standard regimen.  Subsequent course discussions will include simulation, IGRT & Fiducial Markers, and Isodose Planning. In addition, a senior GPS medical physicist will speak about the impact of 2012 trends and technologies.

The half-day session on day two will focus on SRS/SRT/SBRT, Brachytherapy.

Registration includes comprehensive booklets corresponding with each subject presentation, 10 CEUs [ASRT, MDBC, AAPC] and meals.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

The audience for this seminar includes physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, coders and radiation oncology administrators.
